Perfect Pancakes


Stuck in a breakfast rut? Try making a batch of pancakes this weekend!

Perfect pancakes recipe

Makes about 8 4-inch diameter pancakes.


•2 tablespoons white vinegar
•¾ cup milk
•1 cup all purpose flour
•1 tablespoon white sugar
•1 teaspoon baking powder
•½ teaspoon baking soda
•¼ teaspoon salt
•¼ teaspoon cinnamon
•1 egg, beaten
•butter or cooking spray


Add vinegar to milk, and set aside for 10 minutes. Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Pour milk and beaten egg into dry ingredients and mix well. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt a teaspoon of butter in your pan. Use a measuring cup or ladle to make pancakes evenly sized. (Using a ¼ cup of batter per pancake will make about 8 pancakes.) Flip pancakes when you see several bubbles on the pancake’s surface. Be patient, as these pancakes need time to rise and become fluffy.
